Welcome to Canterbury Choughs Old Boys Cricket Club web site. Choughs OBCC is a friendly touring side endorsing the spirit of club cricket as a sociable team introducing players to cricket in other counties, touring the UK and overseas. The membership is by invitation only by the committee. Choughs OBCC have a long established tradition, established in 1963 by the late Doug Brown (Hampshire CCC, Beverley CC) and thrives today as a touring group calling on local players from the old Choughs CC teams and other Canterbury (Kent, UK) players. Touring for over 20 years the 'choughers' have set a precedence in standards and sportsmanship (see old boys)

The New Rules of the Game
Sad Loss Your loss came as a great shock to all of the Canterbury Choughs Old Boys, we all knew Sid very well and will miss him dearly. Every one of us has our own fond personal memories of your late husband. Sid was a great sports fan and our mutual love of cricket kept us all in touch for many years. In that time I personally have had the pleasure of playing against Mounts CC (for Brett’s CC) in the hay day of Evening and Brett Leagues. As you know Brett’s and Mount’s were competing for top spot nearly every year and in that time both sides became great friends. I know I speak for all the senior Choughs members who played during the 80’s, early 90’s and thereafter when I say that those hot summer days will never be forgotten, neither will the driving force behind Mounts success which continued well into the millennium. In short Sid was superb cricket fan, cricket leader, cricket administrator for Mounts and a great ambassador for local cricket. He will be sadly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of his company. In memory of Sid, and at your request please find enclosed a cheque for £100 to Kent Air Ambulance from everyone involved with Canterbury Choughs Old Boys CC Nigel Stevenson
